From a distinguished career as a space acquisition and program management leader and congressional liaison for the U.S. Air Force to her current role overseeing Space Foundation’s three primary divisions: Symposium 365, Global Alliance, and Center for Innovation and Education, Shelli Brunswick, COO of Space Foundation, brings a broad perspective and deep vision of the global space ecosystem.
Shelli works with groups all around the world to connect the business, government, and educational sectors while promoting space technology innovation, entrepreneurship, diversity, and inclusion. Her commitment to upholding the ideals instilled during her time in the military—a desire to share her experience, give back to the space community, and support the growth of the next generation of workers—comes naturally from her work advocating for the inclusion of marginalized groups. Her essays have appeared in consumer, technology, and space-related magazines like Forbes Technology Council and SpaceNews. She is a very in-demand keynote speaker. throughout 2022 alone, she spoke to audiences throughout Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, North and South America, and other continents on job success and workforce development. She gave more than 100 lectures and presentations on the subject. As a thought leader, she receives invitations to talk about innovation, technology, and workforce development at several think tanks, including the Wilson Center and the Hudson Institute. In addition, she has taken part in studies conducted by NASA and ESA to get a deeper understanding of the consequences for the global space system’s future in the upcoming decades.
