Honesty Liller is a woman in recovery from a Substance Use Disorder and the best-selling author of “Scattered Pink – A Diary Of A Woman In Recovery.” What that means to her is that she has not used drugs or alcohol since May 27, 2007. Recovery has given her two amazing children, a loving husband, a family that supports her, her two doggies Rocky and Shelby Monroe, and the ability to help others through the career that she loves. Her mission in life is to make a difference, live day to day, be happy, and reduce the negative outlook of addiction. She believes in “L-I-V-I-N.”
Honesty Liller, CEO of The McShin Foundation, believes that “success” means achieving goals in one’s life. While some may consider success solely in fiscal terms, she defines success by a broader set of accomplishments that bring happiness to her life, extending beyond her paycheck. Honesty’s mission as CEO is firmly grounded in community outreach and involvement. Every day, she gets to fulfill her purpose by helping individuals in the community heal from addiction. Her responsibilities include overseeing community and fundraising events, advocating for the cause, managing public relations, and serving as a Recovery Coach for females in their program.
About the Company
The McShin Foundation, a prominent non-profit full-service Recovery Community Organization (RCO) in Virginia, was established in 2004 with the goal of assisting people and families in the struggle against drug use disorders. The foundation works to promote recovery, inform families, communities, and the government about SUDs, as well as lessen the stigma associated with them. It also gives recovering people the skills they need to build healthy lifestyles.
