Born in Fribourg, Switzerland, to Italian immigrant parents, David’s early life was grounded in resilience, humility, and a quiet yearning to belong. That yearning became a powerful inner drive—not only to succeed in academics, but to deeply understand people and what moves them.

With a background in chemical engineering and a specialization in physical chemistry, David’s early career was marked by innovation, including earning a U.S. patent for conductive polymers. Yet, it was a pivotal moment at age 24—when he led his first team—that shifted his trajectory. Leadership captivated him, not just as a role but as a craft involving psychology, responsibility, and meaningful impact.

His path unfolded across diverse sectors—industry, finance, and public service—each phase adding layers of insight and adaptability. Along the way, David pursued advanced studies in management, adult education, and ethics, culminating in the prestigious Chris Argyris Prize for Self-Reflection.

More than accolades, what emerged was a calling: to create something practical, deeply human, and truly transformative. For David, leadership isn’t just about driving outcomes—it’s about shaping people, fostering growth, and building trust across every level of an organization.

Leading with Intention

For David, growth is never one-dimensional. It’s a dual journey—an inner pursuit of self-awareness and an outer commitment to impact. Today, he sees a gap in coherence. Many rising leaders are encouraged to be agile, fast, and disruptive—but without a firm grasp of their own vision or values. David believes true leadership isn’t about charisma or speed—it’s about being rooted in purpose, emotionally intelligent, and capable of building sustainable momentum toward collective goals.

In his view, the world needs more leaders who don’t just speak, but listen—leaders who lead with intention, clarity, and heart.

As CEO of LP3 Ltd., David doesn’t just lead—he shapes. He guides the company’s vision and strategic direction, ensuring its leadership models—LP3 Leadership and Octocracy—remain dynamic, practical, and deeply relevant. Under his stewardship, LP3’s global hubs operate with both impact and integrity, delivering transformation across sectors and cultures.

David is also hands-on—mentoring high-level clients, crafting tailored transformation programs, and forging international partnerships that reflect LP3’s commitment to human-centered leadership.

But what fuels him most isn’t strategy or scale—it’s the spark of insight. “The happiest part of my day,” he shares, “is witnessing an ‘aha’ moment—when complexity gives way to clarity, or fear evolves into confidence.”

For David, those moments aren’t just milestones. They’re the heartbeat of LP3’s mission—and a reminder of why he founded the company: to make leadership real, reflective, and revolutionary.

Three Areas for Meaningful Impact

As a visionary in leadership transformation, David is driven by a deep desire to make leadership more human, purposeful, and accessible. Here are three areas he is committed to improving—across society, industry, and individual lives:

Re-humanizing Leadership: In many systems, ego is still rewarded over empathy. David wants to shift that paradigm—cultivating leaders who are not just competent, but self-aware, inclusive, and deeply grounded. For him, true leadership starts with inner clarity and emotional maturity.

Restoring Organizational Purpose: Too many organizations have lost touch with their “why.” David’s mission is to help them reclaim meaning through strategic alignment, cultural coherence, and purpose-driven action. He believes that when companies lead with intention, performance and impact follow naturally.

Democratizing Leadership Models: Transformation should not be a privilege. David is passionate about making leadership development accessible to all—through scalable digital tools, open publications, and global Train-the-Trainer networks. His goal: to equip every level of society with the tools to lead with integrity and vision.

From LP3 to Octocracy and Beyond

Stepping into the saturated leadership development arena in 2016 was, by all accounts, a bold risk. But for David, it was a calculated leap grounded in deep conviction. Amid countless competing frameworks, he introduced the LP3 Leadership Model—a fresh, human-centered approach that spoke the universal language of leadership. “It was built for everyone, from the grassroots to the C-suite,” David reflects. Its clarity, simplicity, and immediate relevance became the foundation of LP3 Ltd.’s sustained success.

LP3 soon evolved into more than a consultancy—it became a movement. David and his team are not merely advisors; they are co-creators of leadership cultures rooted in clarity, coherence, and emotional intelligence. Their mission transcends boardrooms, reaching into the very heart of organizations to foster lasting transformation.

A defining milestone came in late 2024 with the launch of Octocracy, LP3’s governance model inspired by the decentralized intelligence and agility of the octopus. Released alongside LP3’s fourth publication, Octocracy – Shaping Meaningful Organizations, this breakthrough marked a new phase in the company’s evolution—one centered on adaptability, autonomy, and meaningful design.

At the forefront of this mission are LP3’s digital innovations: the OCTO-Check, LP3 Quickscan, and the LP3 Momentum Index. These cutting-edge tools allow organizations to quantify leadership maturity and precisely track their transformation journeys—turning abstract concepts into actionable insights.

But David’s vision reaches even further. Currently in development is Équiconscisme, a bold new economic theory designed to harmonize economic, social, and ecological systems through conscious strategy and systemic coherence. It’s a natural extension of his philosophy: that true leadership must consider the wellbeing of people and planet alike.

Looking ahead, David envisions LP3 and Octocracy deeply embedded in hundreds of organizations worldwide—not as theoretical constructs, but as lived practices shaping both culture and outcomes. And on a more personal note, his dreams extend beyond the corporate realm. He hopes to realize The Cloister of Suspended Time—a sanctuary for reflection and renewal, dedicated to igniting personal, familial, and societal transformation with depth and purpose.

From Fribourg to the global stage, David continues to lead with the same quiet fire that lit his earliest steps—one rooted in purpose, guided by wisdom, and always reaching toward the future.

“This is the future,” he affirms. “Not just better leaders—but a better system.”

Seek Impact, Not Titles

For those just starting out, David offers clear, grounded guidance: “Don’t chase titles. Seek impact.” In a world often obsessed with status and speed, he urges young professionals to pause and go deeper.

The real work, he says, begins with self-awareness:
“Understand your values, your shadows, your strengths. Ask yourself—what do I truly stand for? What am I building, beyond just a career?”

He emphasizes the importance of surrounding oneself with mentors who push for growth over performance, encouraging introspection, resilience, and evolution.

He asserts, “Leadership today demands more than results—it demands presence, vision, and coherence. At LP3, we empower organizations and individuals to not only succeed but to matter. That is the legacy I aim to build.”

Above all, David reminds rising leaders that leadership is not a role—it’s a responsibility. It starts with showing up authentically, aligning with purpose, and making a meaningful difference—one step, one choice at a time.
