She got active in national leadership during her residency by joining the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association (EMRA) board of directors. The second-biggest emergency medicine organization globally is called EMRA. Angela developed laws addressing violence in the Emergency Department during that period. She also contributed to the documentary 24/7/365: The Evolution of Emergency Medicine, which was produced as a consequence of the EMRA Legacy Initiative.
