Dr. Sanaa Kaddoura graduated from Beirut Arab University in Lebanon with a PhD in computer science. She is presently working at Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates as an assistant professor of computer science.
In the 8th Venus International Women Awards, Sanaa received the Young Woman Researcher in Computer Science award (VIWA 2023). She also received Beirut Arab University’s Best Teaching Assistant Award (2013). She also received the Beirut Arab University’s Jamal Abdul Nasser Prize for Academic Distinction (2008).
She is now in charge of a project supported by the Mohamad Bin Rashed Fund for Smart Learning, which aims to close the job gaps among UAE university graduates by gathering data from universities and analyzing it using machine learning and natural language processing.
Sanaa’s evolving research profile demonstrates her ongoing efforts towards her study subjects. Sanaa is a working researcher in Arabic natural language processing and cyber security. The “Handbook of Research on AI Methods and Applications in Computer Engineering” is the first edited book that she has released. She has also written other publications on the topics of cyber security, natural language processing, and the application of machine learning to medical issues. She has two book chapters, six conference proceedings, and sixteen journal papers published in publications with Scopus index. Sanaa received many invitations to give keynote speeches and contribute to magazines. The CV has the connections. In conjunction with the 19th ACS/IEEE International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA 2022), which was held at Zayed University/AUH, she arranged the Workshop on Artificial Intelligence for Cybersecurity (AICS’22).
Her appointment as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Advance HE (FHEA) in 2019 is evidence of her institutional and personal dedication to professionalism in higher education teaching and learning. She has also been a Blackboard Academy Certified Specialist since April 2021.
